Here

Here in vegas is like being in a prison. I am watching all these assholes drink their fill. There is something about being in a desert that makes one thirsty for alcohol. Tough town, but I have my big book. I will catch up on my peeps, hopefully tomorrow.

You'll be fine, my sober friend.
There's no more reason to drink in the desert than there is at the beach. We can justify anything we choose.

You're a tough guy, Lash505. Just by having the big book on your side!

You know what's funny is that I once helped arrange a convention in Vegas in a job I had many moons ago. One of my responsibilities was setting up a tour of Hoover Dam and some helicopter rides for a bunch of mortage bankers. I keep thinking of that and how much more fun that would be than drinking.

If I remember right, though, it's a bit of a drive.

My family loves Vegas and I have absolutely no desire to go there now that I am sober. It is a prison. It has any addict's vice: gambling, alcohol, sex, etc...take your pick.

Do you ever do meetings there? I hear that they have some kick-ass meetings in Vegas. They have to be kick-ass with all the temptations.
