witch creek fire

When I woke up the sky was brown and the yard was filled with soot. This has been a bad fire. My oldest sons birthday was today and he was bummed. How ever he loved the 2 baseball gloves I got him.

cool

Man this heat wave has been brutal. The deal is anyone living near the coast probably doesn't have a/c. Temperatures climbed a little to high for no a/c, it felt as though I was in hell. I am an alcoholic so I know what hell is like.

The job offer is back on my plate again and I am beginning to feel like I am playing a ping pong match. I have prayed and I will leave it in the big guys hands for now. Also I am coaching my sons winter baseball team, well assistant coach. It is a start for me.

Recycled Weekend

I have been working on new products that are recycled, so if you know of any new materials please contact me.

I am going to take the boys individually to practice baseball today. I am really starting to get into this more after the party last night. It was a little weird because there are a lot of big drinkers, however some. yes some only had one drink. This is normal for people to have just one. Our parking space will rock for next year.

try outs over

Well here is the score sheet 3 pop flys and he missed 1, 5 ground balls flawless, however his throws to first base were limp. Finally hitting, he had to bunt on the first hit pitch (machine) and missed it, then he swung away and missed 4 more, his swing was good though. I felt like crying because last night he hit all most every pitch at the batting cage. My wife wouldn't go because she couldn't deal with the stress. I told her when I got home that it didn't go so good and she was a bitch to me the rest of the day. She said I should have worked with him more. I felt I had failed my son, but he didn't seem to think so.

baseball

The try outs are today and I have said a early morning prayer. I asked my son how he felt this morning about the tryouts and his reply was I win either way. I thought what the hell is he talking about you either win or lose. He said if he made triple A he would be happy because he made it to the next level, however he would not be one of the best players(10-12 years old). If he didn't make it he would be playing with 8-10 year olds and he would be one of the best players so that is also good. It was refreshing to see my son look at the tryouts as win win situation.

baseball

I have my son ready on the hitting, but there is a lot of work left on the fielding. I wish my wife never put this guilt on my shoulders. If he doesn't make try outs next week my wife will lose respect in me and that sucks. I don't perform well when you put too much upon my shoulders. I have carried enough on my shoulders during my drinking years and that about wiped my ass out. I am not sure what to do about this situation because I feel there is no way out. How can she blame me for something that is out of my control. This whole thing is getting me pissed off, so I am going.

Kids

Back to reality from second life. I have to take my kids to the batting cages tonight. They are doing good, but I have to up the speed to 50mph. Thats about the speed of daaves pitch lol. I also need to work on the fielding and pop flys. I am planning on busting their asses this weekend on the fielding aspects of the game. I have 10 days left to get them ready for try outs and I have a feeling if they don't make it I will be the blame. My wife as been on my ass about this since they signed up 2 months ago. I have been working with them a couple times a week and I think they will be ready. However, the day of try outs will be up to them on how well they perform. All I can do is pray. Life is good through sober eyes.
