sober on a wall

Sometimes this whole sobriety thing is like humpty dumpty sitting on a wall. You go out and drink and your whole life is in pieces. I get my power from god and the people of aa, so I don't plan on sitting on any wall soon.

I found this photo in my camera which I had taken the photo in vegas last month. All is well at the home front and I wish you all well as well. yikes..

I always felt sorry for Humpty Dumpty when I was a kid because all the king's horses and all the king's men couldn't put him back to together again.

I had to look up Humpty and found that in old English a Humpty Dumpty was a "short, clumsy person". Then later it referred to a drink of brandy boiled with ale.

And did you know that Humpty appears in Lewis Carroll's Through the Looking-Glass, where he discusses semantics and pragmatics with Alice.

"When I use a word," Humpty Dumpty said, in rather a scornful tone, "it means just what I choose it to mean -- neither more nor less."

Hmm--Humpty was more complicated than I thought. Glad that you aren't falling off any walls Lash.

Geez, Syd, lmao. I think Humpty had it coming then. I might've smacked that boy down myself. You've got to leave room for interpretation, man. Egads! No one likes a smug egg.

BTW, Lash, that photo of Humpty looks like Sponge Bob Square Pant's creepy cousin.
